Planning for Next Year

Class Placement

It is time once again to begin planning class assignments for next year. Our goal is to provide the best possible learning environment for all students. At Lincoln we go through a careful and thoughtful process to determine the placement of each student for next fall, utilizing a team approach. Your child’s teacher will meet with their grade level team, the principal and support staff to recommend balanced class groupings based on each child’s academic level, learning style, social interactions and other special needs.

A valuable component of our considerations is the opportunity for additional information from the parent. We welcome your input on special needs or concerns you have regarding your child’s placement. However, we cannot honor requests for a specific teacher. If you have information that you would like to share with us, please obtain the Parent Input Form from the school office. Forms need to be received by May 20th to be considered for placement. No late forms will be accepted.

And as always, we do not make classroom changes once school begins in the fall for any reason. Thank you for your understanding and confidence that we will make decisions that are best for your child.
