All students exit the building with their classes at the end of the day at 3:30. The only exception is students who go to our SWCCC daycare program. Those students go directly through the building to the cafeteria.
Walkers, bike riders and parent pick-ups are released at the front of the building by the classroom teacher.
Bus riders are accompanied by classroom teachers to the bus area. Students are expected to board the buses immediately and to stay seated on the buses until they arrive home safely.
Kindergarten students are individually released to parents from the outside of the Kindergarten classrooms by a Kindergarten teacher starting at 3:30. A staff member will also accompany Kindergarten bus riders to the bus boarding area and stay with them until they are safely on the bus.
Parents of students in grades Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd and 4th are asked to meet their children either outside the double doors on the south side of the building or in the front of the building.
Parents of students in grades 2, 5, SLC and Developmental Skills are asked to meet their children outside the double doors on the north side of the building or in front of the building.
Parents arriving by car may pull up along the red fire lane in front of the school. Parents are asked not to exit their cars, even for a short period of time, to pick up kids. Parents may wait in their cars for their children. Parents who want to exit their car, for any reason, are asked to park in one of the designated parking lot spaces. Parents who park across the street are asked to walk their child across the street at an appropriate crosswalk only.
