Students in third through fifth grade have been showing off their best work on the state assessments. We have almost completed three weeks of testing for the Smarter Balanced Assessment. Fifth grade has completed the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS), the English Language Arts Computer Adaptive Test (ELA CAT) and the English Language Arts Performance Task (ELA PT). Third grade has finished the ELA CAT and ELA PT. Third and fourth grade will begin the Math Computer Adaptive Test (Math CAT) and the Math Performance Task (Math PT) beginning Monday, May 21. Fourth grade has completed all of their assessments. Thank you for your continued support in having your students at school on time and ready to learn.
Parents, please remind your children to keep doing their best with our ABE rules as we approach the end of the school year. A stands for Act Responsibly, B stands for Be Safe, and E stands for Express Respect.
Next year, I am so happy to say that I will have a half time associate principal at Lincoln. His name is Greg Roberts, and he currently teaches at McLoughlin Middle School. I have heard amazing things about Mr. Roberts and I am looking forward to introducing him to our students, staff, and parents.
