As we approach the end of the 17-18 school year, I want to thank all of our students, their parents, our staff and this community for its ongoing support of Lincoln Elementary School. I also want to let you know about changes for the 18-19 school year:

  • 4th grade teacher, Angela Mendoza, will take a leave of absence next year. We hope to get her back at Lincoln the following year.
  • Holly Metzner, grade 5, is resigning from the school district to pursue a new career path. We will miss her very much.
  • Nicole Robison, our school secretary, is leaving Lincoln to work a 12-month position with Vancouver Public Schools in the payroll department. She has done a great job in the short amount of time she has been here.
  • Michele Parent, one of our developmental skills para educators, is leaving Lincoln next year and will pursue a different position.
  • Jones Turner will be a new SLC teacher at Lincoln next year. We are very excited to have him join our team.
  • Mandie Arai-Greene is leaving Lincoln to do her administrative internship at Peter S. Ogden Elementary School. She has done a fabulous job at Lincoln and we will miss her very much.
  • Alexis Altrichter and Jessica Blatt are moving from grade 2 to grade 3.
  • Michelle Haagen is moving from grade 1 to grade 2.
  • Kelly Matthews is moving from grade 2 to grade 1.
  • Christine Raab, our school nurse, will be going to other schools next year. Karissa Ham will be our new nurse.
  • Greg Roberts will be our new .5 associate principal. He is currently a teacher at Mac middle school and we are excited to have him come to Lincoln.

Lincoln Families, from our school to you, we thank you for your ongoing support and wish you the very best summer ever. Keep reading to your kids so they learn to love books and visit the library for a fun adventure. See you at the Back to School Ice-Cream Social at 5:30 PM on Monday, August 27.
